Inspector Notes

This Inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia. A monitoring inspection was initiated on 05/03/2021 and concluded on 05/07/2021. The in-charge person was contacted by phone to initiate the inspection. There were 11 children present and 2 staff. The inspector emailed a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed 2 children?s records and 2 of staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliances with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility. The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.

Based on a review of records, staff records do not include documentation of an Out of State Criminal History Search result and an Out of State Sex Offender registry search result for persons who currently or have in the last 5 years, resided outside of the state of Virginia. The results were to be on file by 12/31/2020 for staff hired prior to July 1, 2020.
