Inspector Notes

A subsidy health and safety (SHSI) inspection was conducted on August 20, 2024. There were 62 children present with 16 staff supervising. A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date. Both inspections combined cover subsidy health and safety regulations.
Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental inspection.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Repeat
Based on a review of nine (9) staff records and interview, the vender did not ensure that two (2) staff had a current CPR certification appropriate to the ages of children in care.

Evidence:
1. The record of staff #5 (employed: 07/23/2018) contained documentation of CPR certification that expired on 03/07/2024. The record of staff #6 (employed: 12/06/2021) contained documentation of CPR certification that expired on 03/07/2024.
2. The vendor acknowledged staff #5 and staff #6 did not have current CPR certification.
Plan of Correction: Per the director: Staff will be recertified as soon as instructor can come administer practical exam.
