An unannounced complaint inspection was initiated on August 18, 2023 from 9:08 am -12:30pm regarding concerns of behavorial guidance and forbidden action . There were 42 children present with 7 staff supervising. During the inspection the following were completed: interviews, a review of records/documentation and observation of the classroom . The preponderance of the evidence gathered during the investigation does not support the allegation related to forbidden action and behavorial guidance; therefore, the complaint is determined to be NOT VALID. Violations

1
Standard 8VAC20-780-350-B-4
Based on observation ans staff interview, the licensee did not ensure three year olds up to school age - ratio is 1 staff to 10 children.

Evidence:
On August 18, 2023 at 9:16 am in the three year old classroom, there was 1 staff with 15 children. The youngest child was 3 years old. The classroom did not meet the staff to child ratio, which is 1 staff to 10 children. Confirmed with staff #1 and director.
Plan of Correction: Director went over standards with staff member again . And explained that ratios must always be maintained.
