Prescription medication may be administered if the parent has completed a written authorization from a parent or guardian. The center did not have a current authorization to administer medication signed by the parent/guardian and physician on file for one prescription medication that has been administered daily to Child #6. The authorization on file at the center for medication expired three months prior to the date of inspection.
Plan of Correction: Staff contacted the main office and requested the authorization. Staff stated an authorization for the medication would be brought to the facility.
