Inspector Notes
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted beginning at 11:30 a.m. and ending at 2:00 p.m. with the director. There were 29 children in care, ranging in age from 9 months through 5 years old under the care and supervision of 5 staff. Infants and toddlers were observed finishing lunch. Two year olds were observed during transition after lunch, cleaning up and hand washing. Three and four year olds were observed finishing lunch. The school age room and playgrounds were observed. Six children's records, five staff records and two medications were reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliances with applicable standards or laws and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on observation, not all areas of the center were maintained in a safe condition. Evidence: In the School Age bathrooms, the metal clamps used on the tankless hot water heaters were sharp and posed a scratching hazard.

Based on observation, not all diaper ointments were labeled with the child's name as required. Evidence: In the infant room, there was a desitin diaper ointment and a container of petroleum jelly that were not labeled with the child's name.

Based on observation, food brought from home was not labeled and dated as required. Evidence: In the infant room, food brought from home for Child #1 was observed and was not labeled with the child's name or dated.
