Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site renewal inspection was initiated and completed on 10/29/2024, The on-site inspection began at 9:35am and ended at 10:50am. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 34 children present and 6 staff. The inspector reviewed 5 children?s records and 5 staff records on-site.

This inspection included document review, tour of the facility, interviews and observations.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard 8VAC20-780-40-M
The center shall maintain, in a way that is accessible to all staff who work with children, a current written list of all children's allergies, sensitivities, and dietary restrictions.

Child #1 and Child #2 enrolled for 2 days, were not on the current list of children with allergies, sensitivities and dietary restrictions.
Plan of Correction: Corrected during inspection, new list was printed with new children added.
Standard 8VAC20-780-510-I
Prescription medication may be administered if the parent has completed a written authorization from a parent or guardian.

The written authorization for Child #3, did not give the center permission to administer the medication on site.
Plan of Correction: Requested parent complete the medication authorization form.
