Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site renewal inspection was initiated and completed on 7/29/24. The on-site inspection began at 12:15; pm and concluded at 2:25 pm. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 80 children present and 11 staff. The inspector reviewed 8 children?s records and 7 staff records on-site. This inspection included document review, tour of the facility, interviews and observations. The information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

After the first license, annual approval from the health department is required.

The health inspection was dated 1/17/23, which is overdo by 6 months.
Plan of Correction: We will reach out to the health department regarding the need for a health inspection.
Standard 8VAC20-780-510-P
When an authorization for medication expires, the center must notify the parent for the need of the medication to be picked up within 14 days or the parent must renew the authorization. If the authorization hasn't been renewed nor picked up, the center must dispose of the medication.

Medication authorization for child A expired on 5/13/24 , the medication authorization had not been renewed, nor picked up nor disposed of as of 7/29/24.
Plan of Correction: The medication will either be returned to the parent or disposed of.
