Inspector Notes

A monitoring inspection was conducted on March 26, 2024 with the center director and staff. There were 33 children present, ranging in ages from 2 years to 12 years, with 4 staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 5 child records and 3 new staff records were reviewed.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on review of three new staff records, the facility failed to have required documentation in each file. Two references as to character, reputation, and competence should be checked prior to employment. Evidence: Staff 3 (date of employment 1/23/2024) did not have documentation of a second reference on file.
Plan of Correction: A second reference will be checked by center director.
