Inspector Notes

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol.
A monitoring inspection was conducted on November 10, 2021. The director was contacted by telephone and a virtual inspection was conducted. There were 51 children present with 12 staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision. A total of 3 child records and 3 staff records were reviewed.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on record review, one of three staff records reviewed did not contain an out of state criminal record check, and an out of state sex offender registry check for an employee who has resided in a state other than Virginia in the preceding five years.
Evidence:
Staff 3's record did not contain an out of state criminal record check, or a sex offender registry check.
Plan of Correction: The center has requested the additional background checks and will add the results to the staff member's file.
