A subsidy health and safety (SHSI) inspection was initiated on April 27, 2022 and concluded on May 3, 2022. There were 24 children present with six staff supervising. A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date. Both inspections combined cover subsidy health and safety regulations. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental inspection.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on review of six staff records, the center did not ensure two staff obtained Virginia preservice training within 90 days of employment.

1. The record of staff #2, hired 04/21/2021, had documentation of Virginia preservice dated 11/04/2021, exceeding the requirement to obtain within 90 days of employment.
2. The record of staff #5, hired 05/12/2021, had documentation of Virginia preservice dated 11/04/2021, exceeding the requirement to obtain within 90 days of employment.
