Inspector Notes
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
An unannounced monitoring inspection was initiated on May 13, 2021 and concluded on May 13, 2021. The director was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection at 12:15 p.m. A virtual inspection was then conducted with the director. There were 37 children, ages 16 months to 10 years old present and 9 staff. Children were observed during naptime. School aged children were observed participating in virtual lessons. The outdoor play areas were observed. The inspector emailed the director a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed five children?s records and four staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete. Emergency drills were up to date and the monthly menu was reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and a violation was documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.
The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.
