Inspector Notes

An in person monitoring inspection was conducted today. All rooms are in ratio during the inspection.
Emergency evacuation drills, menu, bottles labeled and dated, age appropriate activities are all in compliance.
Medications, emergency evacuation maps, 4 staff and 3 child records were reviewed. See Violation Notice for non-compliances.
The playground was not inspected today due to inclement weather.
The inspection will be typed off site and emailed to the facility for signatures.

Based on a review of records, one child record did not contain an annual update.
Evidence:
1 of 4 records reviewed did not contain annually updated information.
Child #1's record was dated 2019.
Plan of Correction: I will give the parent a form today. She will have 5 days to return the form.
Standard 8VAC20-780-510-I
Based on a review of medications, one prescription medication was not in the original container with the prescription label attached.
Evidence:
The Epi-pen reviewed was not in a box with the prescription label attached. to show to whom the medication belonged.
Plan of Correction: I will ask the parent to provide the box.
Standard 8VAC20-780-550-C
Based on observation, the emergency evacuation and Shelter-in-place maps posted do not denote the location of the Shelter-in-place locations.
Evidence:
The maps posted have no location for the Shelter-in-place areas.
Plan of Correction: I will add the Shelter-in-place location to the maps by Friday.
