Inspector Notes
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on 8/03/2022 from 9:25am to 11:30apm. At the time of entrance, 94 children were in care with 10 staff members present. Children were observed doing the following: reading books, circle time, coloring, eating breakfast and preparing to go on a field trip to the pool, working on a count and match worksheet at the table, sitting at the table coloring a grocery list and playing outside. Interactions between the children and staff were positive. A selection of staff and children records, the physical space, first aid supplies, medications, evacuation drills and attendance records were reviewed. Violations
2Evidence:
1. In the Preschool B classroom, paint was peeling under the board.
2. In the Pre-K-B classroom, paint was peeling in the corner of the classroom and in the bathroom (large area).
3. In the School age 2 classroom, paint was peeling above the toilet.
4. On the playground, three tricycles had rust on the base.
Outside bicycles will also be repaired with paint.
Evidence:
1. In the Preschool B classroom, 4 cleaning products were in a cabinet above the sink. The child safety lock was not engaged/attached to keep the cabinet locked.
