A subsidy health and safety inspection (SHSI) was conducted in conjunction with the licensing inspection. Subsidy standards that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this SHSI.

Hazardous substances such as cleaning materials shall be kept in a locked place using a safe locking method that prevents access by children. Dawn dish detergent was on the sink in classroom 1 within reach of children. Cleaning wipes were under a desk in classroom 2 within reach of children. Cleaning wipes were on a desk in classroom 3 within reach of children.
Plan of Correction: Provider locked all chemicals.
Standard 8VAC20-790-760-B-3-c
The diapering area shall have a nonabsorbent surface for diapering. The changing pad in classroom 4 had a tear approximately 1 inch.
Plan of Correction: Provider replaced changing pad.
