Inspector Notes

An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted on 3/27/24 from 10:50 am to 12:35pm. There were 18 children in direct care and supervision of 8 staff members. The children were observed engaged in small group activities, completing a butterfly craft, using counting bears and eating lunch. Lunch included chicken nuggets, sweet potatoes, pears and milk. There were no children on site with allergies or medications. 5 staff records, 3 children's records, emergency drill logs, injury reports, attendance and child supervision records, and other center documents relevant to the renewal process were reviewed. The indoor and outdoor space, materials and equipment used by children was inspected to ensure compliance. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. For any questions regarding this inspection, please contact me at mahrukh.aziz@doe.virginia.gov or 571-835-4718.
