Inspector Notes
This monitoring inspection was initiated by licensing staff and concluded on 07/26/2022, between the hours of 8:30 am to 1 pm. There were 19 children present with 18 staff supervising the Horizon Day Camp Metro DC, and 85 children with 23 staff, supervising across 10 classrooms with the Early Childhood Learning Center; ranging from infant to school-age. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration; physical plant; staffing and supervision; programming; medication; special care and emergencies; and nutrition. A total of 10 children records, and 10 staff records were reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined that there were (2) non-compliances with the applicable standards. These violations were documented on the Violation Notice issued to the center.

2Evidence -
1. On the date of inspection (07/26/2022), TB documentation for Staff #1 was dated - 01/10/2020.
2. This was confirmed by the Early Childhood Education Director.
Evidence -
1. On the date of inspection (07/26/22), within Room 101, the blind cords hanging by the far window were accessible to the children in care. At the time of inspection, there were a total of 6 children that were 2 years of age.
2. Hooks were observed inside the window for these cords, but they were not in use.
