Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted from 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm. There were 76 children in care being supervised by 11 staff. The children were observed resting. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of seven child records and five staff records were reviewed.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Based on interviews and review of attendance records it was determined that the arrival and departure of children in each group was not documented as it occurred. Evidence: There were 23 children observed in the three's/four's age classroom however, 20 children were documented on the attendance record. It took approximately seven minutes to determine who the three children were that needed to be added to the attendance record.
