A subsidy health and safety inspection (SHSI) was conducted in conjunction with the licensing inspection. Subsidy standards that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this SHSI. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Staff are required to maintain current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) appropriate to the ages of children in care. The CPR certification for Staff #5 expired 4 days ago.
Plan of Correction: Center will reach out to schedule a certification class for staff.

Staff are required to maintain current certification in first aid appropriate to the ages of children in care. The first aid certification for Staff #5 expired 4 days ago.

Staff are required to complete the department's health and safety update course annually. The annual health and safety update course for Staff #3 is 10 months overdue.
Plan of Correction: Administration will check all staff records and have staff complete the required training.
