Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site renewal inspection was initiated and completed on 03/10/2025. The on-site inspection began at 8:30 a.m. and ended at 11:40 a.m. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 85 children present and 21 staff. The inspector reviewed 10 children?s records and 5 staff records onsite and 6 agent/applicant records electronically on 03/10/2025. This inspection included document review, tour of the facility, interviews, and observations.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Hazardous substances must be in a locked place that prevents access by children.

In Room 2, the cleaning solution and sanitizing solution were in an unlocked cabinet, accessible to children.
Plan of Correction: The cabinet was locked during the inspection.
Standard 8VAC20-780-280-E
Cleaning materials and insecticides/pesticides shall be stored in areas physically separate from each other.

In Room 2 ant/roach spray was storage on the same shelf with cleaning materials.
Plan of Correction: The insecticides were moved during the inspection.

When centers chose to provide meals or snacks, the centers shall follow the most recent requirements of Child and Adult Care Food Program.

For a.m. snack, the center served one food component. Two food components are required for snack.
